P.R.O.U.F. FALL LEAGUE - WOMEN'S DIVISION:

Last Chance....

Women's Fall League is Fast approaching. Have you registered
yet?

The teams are being formed in a Hat format and the games will
be Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings.

This format does not mean that you will be playing with a
different team every week or that you just have to show up at
the allotted time and there will be a team there for you. We
will take the names of the interested parties and make some
equal-calibre teams. You will play on this team for the full
Fall season.

The teams will be picked in the same way they were for the
Women's Hat Tournament.

Some people have approached us with wanting to play with one
specific person for multiple reasons. What we have decided to
do with this is to allow people a "baggage" of one.

For example, let's say that I depend on Diana Nunes for a ride
to the game and REALLY want to play with her during the Fall,
I will indicate that I have one piece of "baggage" and it's
Diana. Of course Diana should indicate my name down as baggage
as well.

Other people have approached us with the fact that they would
like to play but they can only make the Tuesday or Saturday
game - no problem. Tell us which time slot. If we can pair you
up with someone who can only play the other time slot you can
split a position. Otherwise we will put you on the sub-list
for that night.

Which brings us to subs. Everyone has been in a position where
they have had to play short. It is not fun. We feel players
could/should be responsible for finding their own sub.

Diana and I will be asking potential subs to give us their
names, phone number(s) and email addresses and we will provide
these sub-lists to each team.

Final few details... Fall League starts pretty much now, so
we need the names... of all interested players and captains
ASAP.

Here is the information we require:
Please respond to both of us.

Kathy Butler

Diana Nunes

We require the following from you...

Name: ______________ ____________________

Baggage: _________________________________________

Phone number: ____ - ________

Email address: _______________________________

Skill Level ( 1-7) _________
7 - Know the rules, run with blazing speed, cut hard every
time, D everything, throw accurately and lay out...
    consistently.
1 - None of the above.

Number of years you've been playing: _______

Please indicate if you are only able to play Tuesdays or
Saturdays but not both: _________________________

* If we can't pair you up with someone who can play the other
time slot we will put you on the sub-list.

Please indicate if you would like to be placed on the sub-list
only: ______________________________.

_______ I am very knowledgeable about the rules and volunteer
to captain a team. :)

SHARING THROUGH SCORING:

The Fabulous Flying Flamingoes would like to thank everyone
who made Sharing Through Scoring such a phenomenal success
during it's first year. Through all the playing and tournaments
and general good will the Flamingoes were able to raise over
$1900 for charity and other causes.

The bulk of the money is going to The Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario, The Children's Wish Foundation and The Wild Bird
Care Centre. $200 of the money was raised at Nationals and
will be donated to the Manotick Station Women's Institute and
some of the money went to help send a care package to the Manyika
Wildcats, a high school Ultimate team in Zimbabwe.

A special thanks to Big, Strong, and 18 Inches Long who also
participated in Sharing Through Scoring raising over $200 of
our total. We hope next year more teams will join us in this
easy way to support charity.

You can check it our at our team website www.visitweb.com/fff
and also check out the interview that was done about it at
www.ultilinks.com (a really cool international Ultimate
website).

Thanks again,
The Flamingoes.
