THE THIRD ANNUAL ULTIMATE CORPORATE CHALLENGE IS HERE!!:

Saturday, September 25th,
Manotick Sod Farm.
Start time: 9:30 am.

Tremendous demand has meant tremendous growth. The Corporate
Challenge has grown to 40 teams this year. That is double the
size from last year's tourney. Cisco, the premiere sponsor of
this event, will be giving out discs to all players participating
in this event. As well, there will be two grand prizes to be
drawn this year, a Mountain Bike and a stereo.

Many teams who have participated in past years are back this
year. Nortel, Cognos, JDS Uniphase, Newbridge Networks, are
all back to fight the battle of the titans.

Games are starting at 9:30 am on Saturday. The format is 4/3
and there is one competitive Division and 3 Recreational
Divisions. It is hoped that all teams will have a level playing
field.

Now, this is a one day tourney this year but who knows, with
such unbridled interest, there may be the opportunity to
expand to a two day format next year.

Didn't have the opportunity to enter a team? Still interested
in playing? Well come on out! With 40 teams playing there are
bound to be open spots for eager players interested in meeting
new people and playing some disc.

See the following site for more information:

RESIDENTS OF NEPEAN CAN YOU HELP US OUT?:

If you are an Ultimate player and a resident of the City of

your name, telephone number and say you are a Nepean resident

NATIONALS FINALS ON TAPE - LAST CHANCE!:

Hey Folks!

Many of you expressed an interest in getting your hands on a
copy of the Nationals Open and Women's finals that Rogers taped
on the 22nd. Unfortunately, those of you in Ottawa who thought
you might get away with setting your VCR may be disappointed
as Rogers will have to edit the games (likely the women's,
sorry ladies) to make both fit into a three hour time slot.
But, if you purchase a copy, you will get both games in their
entirety.

A copy of both finals will be available for $20, plus $4.50
shipping if you live outside of Ottawa. If you live in Ottawa,
I will make arrangements to get it to you. (Prices include the
government's take.)

Please send me an e-mail confirming that you are in for a copy,
then send me a cheque (to Andre Larade) along with your address
and phone number to:
P.O. Box 77034
Ottawa South
Ottawa, ON
K1S-3X0

I would say allow 4-8 weeks for delivery as I won't be ordering
until I have most of the cash, but I'll let you all know when
to expect them.

If you live outside of Ottawa, please call your local Rogers
and tell them you would like to see the XIII Canadian National
Ultimate Championships that were taped August 22, and will be
broadcast in Ottawa September 18 at 2pm.

Thanks to everyone who played and helped out.

Andre Larade.

FOUND:

Someone forgot a golf umbrella at the Monday night playoffs
at the new fields, on Saturday August 28. Three or four people
were watching us (Chuckers) play Ready and Swilling, and when
they left the umbrella stayed behind. I think we were on field
two (it was one over from where the tent was set up at
Nationals).

Thanks,
Barb Holland
