TEAM LIST UPDATES:

Hopefully everyone has received the list of teams for the
summer league that I sent out yesterday. Thanks for the
feedback that I have received today.

For those of you who may not have looked at this yet please
do so today. If there are any major problems we would like
to hear about them now to make registration and scheduling
as painless as possible.

Therefore, please e-mail me by Wednesday afternoon if:
- Your team was not on the list (but it should have)
- Your team received a spot but does not want it

Thanks
Mike

THURSDAY 4/3:

We are starting a small (8 team Thursday 4/3 league) this
year. We are only accepting BRAND NEW teams (teams with a
vast majority of new players). We have room for 2 teams.
We would also like to accommodate teams of players that are
not already playing on another night if possible.

If you are interested and your team qualifies please send
me an email with:
- Team name (if possible)
- Your name
- Home phone
- Work phone
- E-mail address

The first game for this league will be on May 11th.

Due to the limited time until registration we do not expect
Thursday 4/3 teams to pay their team fees this Saturday.
If this is possible great. If not we can collect it on or
before May 11th.

************************************************************
CONES:

We will have a limited number of cones available at
registration for NEW teams.

If you have a set or sets of cones from previous years
that you are not using please bring them to registration
and we will buy them back for $5 (for a set of 8).

CARPOOLING, IS THERE ANY INTEREST?:

Hello everyone, this was brought up at the general meeting on
the 19th, and here is the follow up:

I'm looking to see if there is any interest in organizing a
carpool to and from Manotick. The main purpose of the carpool
is, obviously, to help out your Ultimate brethren who do not
have access to a vehicle, but still like to use the Sod Farm
and South Park. The secondary purposes are to help with the
parking situation (less cars means more spots means less
parking on the streets means happier neighbors!) as well as
helping to control the amount of pollutants in the environment.

The carpool would be organized via database, and I would look
to have people drive out those who live or work near them, or
that can picked up en route to the field (so as to not
inconvenience the driver too much).

I suppose the service would be free, but if a rider were to
donate $2 (the approximate cost of a bus ride) to the driver
to cover gas, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

This is just to gauge interest, and, unless the response is
overwhelming, I doubt this would be ready in time to start the
season, but should be a go (with enough interest from riders
and drivers) by the middle of May.

So please contact Jeff at homrbush@sympatico.ca to make your
interest known, and also if you have any questions.

Thanks for your time,

Jeff Rathburn
