to retire as the editor of Ultimate Happenings to spend more
time on having a "real" life.

a spell checker), is fairly proficient at their favorite
batch e-mail software, knows what an ASCII file is and has
an hour or two available every week.

PROUF FALL LEAGUE:

The People's Republic of Ultimate Frisbee, lumpenproletariat
Phaul Leeg (Fall League)

The PROUF Fall League still has some spots available for teams
that have yet to register. Wednesday Night is full., but there
are still spots available on the Monday C Division, Tuesday B
and C Division and Thursday C Division.

Teams play one week night and Sunday afternoons.
All fields are in city
Gender ratio is all 4/3.
Cost is $300 for season. $50 default deposit.

Season begins on Sunday Sept 17th and runs until the 1st week of Nov.

FR'EQUINOX TOURNAMENT - SEPT 23/24:

The Fr'Equinox Tournament is set to go on Sept 23 and 24. All
ability levels are welcome and still have time to sign up.
This is a fun tournament with the emphasis on having a good
time and enjoying the game of ultimate. Each day your humble
tournament directors will again supply a keg of beer to help
with the 'fun'damental principles of ultimate.

Fee is $200 payable to Doug Tahirali and can be dropped by my
office at 180 Metcalfe Suite 104 or mailed to me at 248
Arlington Ave Ottawa, K1R5T2.

THE 3RD ANNUAL PLAID JACKET DISC GOLF TOURNEY:

The most anticipated disc event in Ottawa is coming up again
and everyone is cordially invited to attend the annual Plaid
Jacket. This year the event will take place at Jacques Cartier
Park on our permanent 12 hole course.

Cost: $30/person
Date: Saturday, September 30
Time: Registration closes at 9:30am tee off is at 10:00am
Place: Jacques Cartier Park

The format for the tournament is a shotgun start so please
don't be late.

Players Central will be located near the Maison de Velo.

Every registration receives a free disc!

Registration is limited so please book soon.

Three divisions

Open division - Open to all interested participants. PDGA
approved discs plus the Ultrastar is always allowed. 36 holes
over three rounds

Women's division - PDGA approved discs plus the Ultrastar is
always allowed. 24 holes over two rounds

Ultrastar division - The Ultrastar is the only disc allowed
in this division. 24 holes over two rounds

GODZILLA CHALLENGE:

Since the beginning of Ottawa Ultimate and OCUA the GODZILLA
trophy has always been piece de resistance, the cup winners
cup so to speak. In the past two years GODZILLA has been
rewarded (uncontested) to the winner's of the Wednesday 5/2
league. This year there seems to be parity with leagues on
other nights both 4/3 and 5/2 alike. (Any self respecting 5/2
team can field three women at any given time!) Therefore it
is time to 'throw down the gauntlet', so to speak and extend
a challenge to teams that won Tier One in the other divisions
(Receiver's choice). '668 (Neighbors of the Beast)' Wednesday
Night 5/2 Champions extends that challenge to...'7/11' the
Monday 4/3 League Champs. The 'Committee for Public Safety'
of the 5/2 Monday league. 'Fabulous Flying Flamingos' of
Wednesday 4/3. At point of typing this, the Champion of the
Tuesday 4/3 has yet to be decided (?). And the Thursday
League Champion is unknown to this typer. Enough said, summer
is almost over. Challengers?
