Thank you to all who participated in and/or helped out with
the election.  The results are as follows:

2001 PLAID JACKET OPEN

Saturday, September 29, 2001
Jacques Cartier Park Disc Golf Course
Registration closes at 9:30 a.m.

The most anticipated disc event in Ottawa is coming up again 
and everyone is cordially invited to attend the annual Plaid 
Jacket Open.  This year the event will take place at Jacques 
Cartier Park on our permanent 18 hole course.  Two rounds for 
the open division, two rounds for the women’s division and 
one round for the ultrastar division.

Over 80 discs will be given away!  This year there are prizes 
for the putting contest and a mass Closest to the Pin 
competition.

There will be water stations set-up around the course, along 
with the group lunch.

The format for the tournament is a shotgun start so please 
don't be late.

Cost: $30/person

Date: Saturday, September 29, 2001

Time: Registration closes at 9:30 am, tee off is at 10:00 am

Place: Jacques Cartier Park (North)

Players Central will be located near the Madison de Velo.  
For all divisions, registration is capped at # competitors, 
so sign up early!

As per our tradition, the winner of the Open and Women's 
division will receive the highly-coveted Plaid Jacket and 
your names will proudly be displayed on the trophy.

There are separate skills competition between the first and 
second rounds. Skills include longest drive and best 
approach.

There will be four divisions this year: Open, Women's, 
Junior, and Ultrastar.

The Ultrastar Division:  Many out there look at the Disc Golf 
crowd and say..."What a bunch of freaks!  They have all these 
different golf discs and they don't put any on their wall at 
home!"  Well it's time to put your putter away for your 
trusty 175 gram Ultrastar ultimate disc.  The ONLY disc 
allowed in this division is the Ultrastar.

FR'EQUINOX

Fr'Equinox will be a 4/3 ratio co-ed ultimate tournament. We 
are hoping to have two separate divisions. A competitive 
division being played over the Sat. and Sun. As well as a one 
day rec. division. The rec. division is for league teams 
looking to get some tourney experience and have fun at the 
same time. When: Sept 15-16 Where: UPI - Manotick Station 
Cost: $250 competitive, $125 recreational. Get your bids in 
now. Make cheques payable to OCUA and mail them to: Brad

lots of ultimate, Bagels, Fruit, Water and a meal. Party: The 
tourney party will coincide with the summer league party at a
