MATTERHORN MATT CHARITY ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT

Special Note: As a charity tournament, Matterhorn Matt is 
designed to raise money for the homeless in Ottawa through 
money collected by the participants in pledges, tournament 
entry fees and from corporate sponsorship. Please try to 
raise as much money as possible! Lets show the non-Ultimate 
community what "Spirit of the Game" really means. Volunteers 
to help out with the tournament are welcome.

Date:       February 23/24 (all night)
Time:       23:00 (Saturday night) to 06:00 (Sunday morning)
Location:   Ottawa Coliseum Indoor Sports Facility, 
            Lansdowne Park
Entry Fees: $20 (before February 13th)
            $30 (after February 13th but before February 
                 22nd)
Registration: In person at the Lieutenant's Pump (361 Elgin 
               Street, Ottawa) between 17:00 and 21:00 
               February 13th

By email to: Info@MatterhornMatt.com be sure to give the 
following information:

- Name (First and Last)
- Telephone Number
- Email address
- Ultimate experience (1-I have never played to 10-I am an 
  Ultimate God)
- Detailed arrangements on how you plan to submit your 
  registration fee prior to February 22nd in order to secure 
  your spot.

Format: - 3/2 Gender split
        - Hat format with 12 teams
        - Each team plays 3 games
        - Each game is 50 minutes long

Other: - Special competition for the Matterhorn Matt "Spirit 
         of the Game" Trophy
       - All money raised (after tournament expenses) goes 
         directly to the United Way of Ottawa Poverty 
         Designation
       - Pledge forms and all pledge monies collected can be 
         handed in on the night of the tournament
       - Bring food donation (non-perishable) for the Ottawa 
         Food Bank
       - Food (oranges, bagels and other goodies), water and 
         coffee provided on site
       - Free breakfast for all players provided at Harvey's 
         on Sunday morning starting at 06:30

OTTAWA ICE BOWL 2002

When: February 9, 2002. 11:00 a.m. tee off

Cost: $20 + 1 bag of non-perishable food items for the 
Ottawa Food Bank + 1 Christmas present you received but do 
not appreciate (but someone else might) for use in a charity 
auction.

Format: 
Single player, 3 divisions, 24 holes
1 round of 16 holes (skip holes #2 and #3), break/side show 
events, 1 round of the technical 8

Schedule:
1. 11:00 a.m. SHARP!!! (it may be chilly and it still gets 
   dark early ) tee off (shotgun start).
2. After the first round is complete, we begin the Showdown 
   events $3 challenge fee
3. Technical 8 round
4. Awards and charity auction. 

Please keep in mind that all monies raised will go to the 
Shepherds of Good Hope and all food will be going to the 
Ottawa Food Bank.

Tim Horton's at 360 St. Patrick St at King Edward is 
graciously providing us with baked goods to help fight off 
the cold! Yayy!
