OCUA SUMMER REGISTRATION FORMS - DEADLINE MARCH 17, 2003

The summer 2003 team registration forms are now available on 
the OCUA website:

http://www.ocua.ca/leagues/summer/current/reg.html

Summer league registration will follow a similar format to 
last year. Returning teams will have until Monday March 17 
to pay a $250 deposit in order to secure their spot on their 
night of play. All forms must be in OCUA’s mailbox by noon 
on the 17th, or be postmarked no later than the 17th to be 
accepted. The balance of the $950 team fees will be due at 
that Captain's Meeting / AGM on April 24th.

TOURING COED TEAM MEETING

This meeting is for the captains of existing touring coed 
teams or people planning on forming a new touring coed team. 

Every season there is an increased interest in coed touring. 
This year there seems to be several new teams forming. The 
purpose of this meeting is mostly an informal 'meet and 
greet', but several important topics will be discussed as 
well. Topic that will be covered include: tournament 
schedules, touring team's relationship with OCUA, Regionals 
and Nationals, scrimmaging, etc. 

Don't miss this opportunity to meet your fellow coed touring 
captains.

Date: Tuesday March 18th
Time: 7pm

MARCH MELTDOWN ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT

Date: Saturday, March 22, 2003 
Time: 10am to 5pm, captains meeting at 9:30. 
Location: RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive 

Tournament Format: 
4/2 Gender split 
Each team plays 4 games 
Each game is 50 minutes long 

Entry Fees: 
$125 per team. You can have as many people on the team as 
you want. 

Registration: 
Team spots are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis so 
register early by emailing marchmeltdown@hotmail.com with 
the following information: 
Captain's Name (First and Last) 
Street Address including postal code 
Telephone Number 
Email address 

Fees must to be received by Wednesday, March 19th in order 
to reserve your team's spot. Payment can be made in person 
to Julie Kwok, Julie Thompson, or Colin "Spence" James on 
Tuesday evenings at Landsdowne Park in the bubble. Other 
arrangements can be made for those people who are not in the 
Dome on Tuesday nights, by emailing 
marchmeltdown@hotmail.com. All payments will be via cheque 
made out to Julie Thompson. 

If you don't pay, you don't play! 

The on-site Fieldhouse Bar and Grill will be open should 
people wish to grab some food or partake in some 'warming' 
beverages. Players are reminded to bring their own water. 

Prizes: 
Each team will receive a bag of goodies, including one 
DareDevil Discs Frostie per team!!! Other "door" prizes will 
be given out during the day, including a grand prize for the 
winning team. 

All money raised (after tournament expenses) will go 
directly to the Ottawa School Breakfast Program.

community charity that works in 86 local elementary schools 
and feeds 4,500 hungry kids every day.

READY FOR SPRING INDOOR ULTIMATE SCRIMMAGE

Waiting for spring ? Wanting to play?

Sweet As’ co-ed competitive team host a Ready For Spring 
indoor ultimate scrimmage.

On Sunday April 6th, 10am - 1pm at the Carleton University 
Field House. Format will be 4/2, round robin scrimmage. Each 
team plays three, 50-minute games. Cost is 25$ a player for 
field rental.

Winning team receives a great prize bag contribution of 
Ottawa Outdoors Magazine. All players will receive a copy of 
the latest Ottawa Outdoor Magazine by Dave Brown.
