TOUR:

We know you are all wondering what has happened to TOUR. Did
I miss it? I wrote an article last summer what happened to
it? You maybe asking. Well TOUR is alive and well, we just
need some help getting it published and to the players. A
new approach is being taken this year with the forming of
the OCUA Communications Committee. This committee is trying
to more effectively communicate information to all OCUA
players whether it is through the Web site, Ultimate
Happenings, TOUR or other channels.

A lot of work has been done to improve the communications
channels in the league with Ultimate Happens and the Web site
(make sure you take a look at the new site at
www.cyberus.ca/ocua) but we need to publish TOUR. With Ken
Lange working on the Web site and Mike Harley responsible
for Ultimate Happens TOUR needed a new someone to help get
it started again. I guess that is why I am now editor of
TOUR after several questions to Mike of "how can I help with
TOUR?" His response was "Do you want to be the editor?"
Maybe I should have known better, but I think everyone still
wants to see TOUR, I know I do.

So now we are looking for people to volunteer in several
areas such as:

- reporters/writers - whether it is one article or a series

- sales people - to gather advertising

- desk top publishing people

- people willing to help but not sure what they want to do

- distribution people

EXPERIMENTAL FARM FIELDS:

We have been asked (by whoever manages these fields) to not
use these fields until further notice is given.

I am not sure what the problem is but since they asked we
should respect their wishes.

With this in mind another reminder about fields sure could
not hurt. Please, if you are playing a pick-up game, having
a team practice or just frolicking in the grass please do
not damage any of the regular fields (or any fields I
guess).

Some or all of the fields may need a bit more time before
they are able to stand anyone playing on them. Remember if
it seems like nice green soft grass now and it gets damaged
it might be rock-hard mud in July.

The division co-ordinators are going out next weekend to
survey the fields and get a general idea of their condition.

A few years ago there was a store on Colonade Ave in the
West End which gave Ultimate players a discount on cleats.
Does anyone know if this store or any other store have this

NEW THURSDAY NIGHT COMPETITIVE LEAGUE:

The pickup games for the new Men's Developmental Ultimate
League will be held on April 28th and 30th at the Lynda Lane
fields. Games will start at 6 pm. Bring a light, a dark, and
a red T-shirt to the games. Following the pickup games, the
league will start on May 14th at the Sod Farm. If you need

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SHAREHOLDERS OF ULTIMATE
PARKS INC.:

There will be an informational meeting for all interested
shareholders on Thursday, April 30 at Woodroofe HS at 7:00
pm.

The annual general meeting (AGM) for all shareholders will
be held on Friday, May 22 at Woodroffe HS at 6:30 pm

One of the main items on the agenda at the AGM will be the
election of a new Board of Directors for UP; shareholders
interested in becoming a Director should come to the
informational meeting on the 30th. Shareholders will also
have the opportunity to raise issues at the informational
meeting for inclusion at the AGM.

Up to date information about both meetings can be found at
http://www.cyberus.ca/ocua/UP-Inc/. A proxy form for
shareholders who are unable to attend the AGM will soon be
available at the web site as well.
