ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION AT NATIONALS:
From: Lorne Beckman

Greetings:

If you are still wondering about accommodations and
transportation for the nationals.

All camping and dormitory reservation should be made through
Dominique Roy .

There are still rooms available at the on-site dormitory,
but they are going fast.

6 singles available @ ~$/night from 26 until 30 august
2 doubles available @ ~??$/night TBA from 26 until 30 august
8 quadruples available @ ~$/night from 27 to 30 august

All extra occupants are 5$/night. Quad can fit 6, single can
fit 2 (educated guess).

Camping is ~ 7$/night per person. Space is not limited as of
yet.

A deposit will be required for any accommodations, at the
latest 10 days before the event.
------------------------------------------------------------

Transportation between the Dorval airport and St-Jean-sur-
Richelieu can be arranged. Cost would be ~$/person, based on
a school bus of 40 people (cheaper and far more pleasant than
taking public transportation). If you are interested, tell
Dominique how many are arriving and when, so he can co-ordinate
the details.

------------------------------------------------------------

When making any arrangements for accommodation or transportation,
please specify who you are, what team you are on, where you're
from, and for how many people.

Remember to arrange all reservations with Dominique Roy at
.

Thank you!
Lorne Beckman

ZODIAC CO-ED TOURNEY:

And it has come down from on high that a Zodiac Tourney will
occur on the Autumnal Equinox Sept. 26-27, 1998 at the
Milliken Mills Pagan Ritual Grounds north of beautiful
Toronto Ontario!

12 CoEd teams (one for each Zodiac sign, so a Leo team, an
Aries team etc.) play to determine which Zodiac sign rules on
the Ultimate field.

The format will be 3 pools of 4, and so you'll get 3 games on
Saturday. Teams will be ranked for Sunday - the top 8 will go
into quarters/semis/finals, and the bottom 4 will do a round
robin. Thus every team plays 6 full games over the weekend.

Mark your celestial calendars and stay tuned to the TUC
website at
- the Zodiac page of the Events section for registration and
location info.

The cost of the tournament is $30CAD/$25USD, which includes a
shirt. We will be serving breakfast and dinner on the Saturday,
and breakfast again on the Sunday. We will supply water as
well of course. You are responsible for your own lunches.

After play is done on Saturday, we invite you to stick around
for music and a bar-b-q at the fields.

Registration will begin on August 1st - follows these
instructions!

Important: you are not considered registered in the tournament
until you have paid the fee up front - this is a little
different than most Ultimate tournaments, and we need to limit
numbers. You're not in until you have paid.

When registering, please include your name, gender, and date
of birth (so we can determine which team you are on). Please
be honest about your birthdate - it is really important to
have all players on their actual zodiac sign - the karma of
the tournament hinges on this.

We will keep track of who has registered on the web site. You
have the option of signing up on the web site or by emailing
'zodiac@tuc.org', which in effect 'holds a spot' until your
cheque is received.

We _must_ receive a cheque for $30.00 (payable to Brian
Parkinson or Robert C. Anglin) for you to be registered in
the tournament.

Mail to:

Brian Parkinson
65 Jefferson Ave. Apt. 302
Toronto ON
M6K 1Y3

All proceeds/charitable donations to go to the Children's
Wish Foundation.

If you have any questions, please email 'zodiac@tuc.org', or
me directly.

Stay tuned to the web site for more information as well.

SLAG CHEERS:

Everyone, please continue to send me in any slag cheers you
wouldn't mind posted in a special year end issue of Ultimate
Happenings.

Thanks to all of you who have already sent me some cheers.
They are great, dirty and rude, but great. It would be
nice if I received some from other people besides
Michele Gautier though. :)

Thanks
Mike
