RIDES TO 'CANADIAN NATIONALS' NEEDED FOR OTTAWA JUNIORS:

rides to the Canadian Nationals. If anyone has any extra

Webb at 231-6530, so that he can arrange transportation for
the players.

FALL LEAGUE '98 - REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Registration Dates: Sept. 1st - 11th ( by e-mail )

Season Starts:
 Sunday Sept. 13th

Ends:
Either Oct. 31st or Nov. 7th

(Approx. number of games 10-12)

Season ending party @ Cave on Nov. 7th.

LEAGUE FEES: $300.00*

*P.R.O.U.F. has raised the fees from $200.00 to $300.00 this
year with the intention of supporting O.C.U.A in their 'land
purchase/Irrigation instalment'. The extra $100.00 increase
will be used to support these projects. (If you feel strongly
about this increase please call me and I will be glad to
listen your objections)

LEVELS OF PLAY: There will be two levels of play this year.
Teams will rise or fall according to their play. i.e. If you
keep winning you will be scheduled against other teams that
are doing equally as well. The same if you don't fair so well
in games, you will meet other teams that are also being
outclassed. ( I'm trying to eliminate 'blowouts' as they are
no fun for either team) To achieve this there will be NO FIXED
SCHEDULE at the first of the season. Two reasons for this 1)
I never know when my lit fields will come available ( other
sports are finishing up their summer season in Sept.) 2)
Gives me a chance to shuffle teams into better games mid-
season. Don't worry everything will be done by e-mail and you
will know in plenty of time.

How many games are there each week?

Teams will play one possibly two games a week in Sept.
(field availability) and two games a week in October. {There
will be one weeknight game (under the lights) and one weekend
game (Afternoon).}

WHAT IS AVAILABLE?
 Monday: Level Two. 4/3.
 Tuesday: Level One. 5/2 and 4/3. Women's
Wednesday: Level One. 5/2 and 4/3.
 Thursday: Level Two. 5/2.
Friday: Level Two. 5/2 and 4/3.

Saturday: If teams want to play on Saturdays instead of
Sundays please let me know. Women's league also plays on this
day. Sunday: Everybody plays on Sunday (if they are not
 playing on Sat.)

HOW DO I REGISTER?

regular basis as to 'What's Up?' with registration.

Couple of Questions.

CO-ED SECTIONALS:

If your team intends to play in the Co-ed Sectionals for
Upstate New York this fall, I need to hear about it!! This
section includes all of New York outside of the Metro New
York area, and Ontario. Remember that you may only play in
one division in the UPA Fall series, so every player must
choose between Open/Womens and Co-ed.

Unless I hear from someone else that wants to run the
tournament, it looks like the event will happen in Hamilton,
on September 19th, 1998. It will be co-organized by members
of the Hamilton Ultimate Club and of the Toronto Ultimate
Club. This date was picked to minimise any conflicts with
summer league finals that are also happening that weekend.

If you have any questions or ideas, or if you are want to
compete in the tournament, send me a note to
ssphillips@bigfoot.com.

Thanks, Sean Phillips.
