SOUTHPARK FALL CLEANUP:

Well, we're getting a few beautiful fall days here and there,
and there's still lots of work to do on the new site, so it's
time for another volunteer day:

WHERE: the new fields (Southpark, to those in the know)
TIME: 10 am - whenever (depends how much time you have :)
DATE: Saturday, October 24

There are a number of different things we hope to work on.
There is still a lot of scrap metal strewn around and about,
which we need to gather up and pile. (Definitely bring work
gloves if you can, since we don't want anyone to get cut or
anything.) There is also a lot of scrap lumber and deadfall
still around, and some brush that could be cleared away.
(So, if you are proficient with axes, saws, chainsaws, etc.,
please bring them along.) We will try to obtain a burning
permit, and we can use some of the stones that have been dug
up during construction to build a firepit, which will allow
us to burn some of the stuff as we go along. Marshmallows
will be on me... :)

All in all, this is a great chance for you to volunteer some
time to help the project, enjoy a fall day, and take a look
at the improvements to the new site. Just make sure you don't
go out walking on the new grass - it's not ready for feet just
yet. If you want any further information, or if you can let
me know in advance that you will be attending, please give
me a call.

Cheers!

DISC GOLF - LOST AND FOUND:

I was forced to publish the results of the 1st annual Ottawa
Open disc golf tourney a couple of issues ago where in I came
in last. No one seemed to believe my valid excuses for my less
then stellar performance, sigh. Anyway at least I didn't lose
a disc. HEH

--------------
I was out for a round last night and made a simply awful shot
on the second hole. My disc went off well to the right into
the weeds near the water. We spent a good while trying to
find it, but no luck. Just wanted to post this message here
in case anyone ever happens to find a white Cheetah disc in
there. I hadn't gotten around to putting my name and number
on it, but if someone finds it, I would appreciate if they
got in touch with me.

Thanks,

--------------
I had a similarly horrible shot on Hole #1 a couple of weeks
ago. The disc just cleared the trees to the right about midway
down the fairway, and ended up somewhere down below the parking
lot... alas, I too hadn't gotten my name on it yet, but if
anyone comes across a 171g kinda greeny-white XL while looking
down in that area (god forbid), it's probably mine... :)

Cheers!

--------------

There was a blue fleece jacket left behind at the tourney
Saturday, October 3rd. If anyone owns it or know who owns it
please let me know.

FOUND:

Nike Sharks cleats (nice new ones!) at St. Pauls #5 on
Sunday Sept.27. Random Acts of Swill were playing Saints and
Spinners but they might have been left from previous game.
