TOUR ARTICLES WANTED:

Just over 100 days left for the next summer Ultimate season
are you ready?

It should be an exciting year with our new fields and Nationals
in Ottawa this year. There is a lot to talk about and we want
to hear it. Take a few minutes clean up that Ultimate bag and
find those cheers lost with your Ultimate gear, write a kudos
to thank a volunteer, your captain, or the person who introduced
you to the game. Over the next month while you are pysching
yourself up for the summer, or trying to stay warm on the
sidelines of the Outdoor Winter League and wondering what the
hell you are doing out there on a Sunday afternoon think about
the article you are going to write.

Remember one of the great things about our league is the number
of people you contribute in one way or another to the league,
whether it is being a captain, clearing fields, writing an
article for UH or TOUR, being on the Board, selling shares,
or helping at tournaments it all counts! So send your articles,
photos, cheers, and kudos to myself by February 28th and
contribute to your league.

THERE IS NO ULTIMATE LIKE DA OTTAWA KIND!

The smog infested fields of Toronto pale to the grassy greens
of the Ottawa Carleton region - the drive to the sod farm is
nothing to the highway commutes in Mega-city -Toronto is still
wondering why it can't compete on the same level.........

Throughout it all - my love for ultimate continues to grow....
it's allowed me to easily integrate in the concrete jungle,
making great new friends, enjoying the pounding that continues
on my ageing body.

Thanks to Ottawa ultimate, thanks to all my friends on
Beer-o-crats; IBU Profane; Fall Hipsters; Lemmings on a
Mission; and D.E.A.D.

WINTER PRACTICES - WOMEN'S COMPETITIVE ULTIMATE:

Have you ever thought of playing women's competitive ultimate?

There will be a series of practices and info sessions open to
one and all beginning January 9th, from 5 - 7 pm at Algonquin
college's Woodroffe campus.

Everybody is welcome: people who aren't really sure if they're
into competitive ultimate, people who aren't sure they are
good enough, and experienced players included. We're trying
to reach everybody who might be interested here, so feel free
to spread the word to friends who don't get Ultimate Happenings
or who you think might be interested.

Come out to see what a competitive team is all about, to
practice disc skills and to keep in shape over the winter.
If you're interested call Tara Dentry at 731-5690 or drop a
line to Manon des Groseilliers: manond@trafficinjuryresearch.com
