How does Competitive Work?

Once the teams are selected, team members train and practice together during the week and travel to tournaments on some weekends throughout the summer. The number of practices and tournaments varies from team to team but most practice twice a week and attend 6-8 tournaments.

OCUA and Competitive Teams in Partnership

Ottawa's competitive ultimate teams draw on a lot of the talent that OCUA builds in the region. OCUA also provides much appreciated practice fields and financial assistance to the teams. In exchange, the competitive teams help improve the quality of the OCUA league by offering clinics, organizing hat tournaments and volunteering. Each team is required to provide volunteer hours towards the delivery of OCUA programs.
