Follow the league by-laws please...
paraphrased.....
from the document........ need 25 signatures from members of the association to run for the BOD...
from the bylaws....need 5 signatures from members of the association to run for the BOD...

Are you using the current bylaws as voted in by the members at the spring AGM?

New vs Old Bylaws
The new bylaws require the signature of 25 members. These would be individual members who now have a vote.
The old bylaws required the signature of 5 members, where the 5 members were 5 summer league teams.
The bylaw revisions approved last April should be the ones available under the "current OCUA bylaws" link. Don't know why they have not been posted there.
volunteers?
Under the part of the volunteer cell:
The OCUA Board of Directors has approved the revival of the Volunteer Cell (VC), and would like to invite all interested members to join!....
The first meeting will be held Tuesday, August 8th, 9pm at Patty's Pub (1186 Bank Street). If you would like to attend this first meeting, or even volunteer for any of the above positions, please RSVP at
. If you cannot make it, but would like to keep updated on future meetings, or if you have any idaddress.
If the meeting is this Tuesday, shouldn't there a call out for people to show up, instead of it being part of document that has been downloaded a total of 64 times in 27 hours? There should be some sort of advance notice by now.
