Our members know well that OCUA follows a Strategic plan set by the Board of Directors in 2012. All OCUA activities are in line with our 3 strategic priorities, one of which includes fostering player development from “cradle to grave”. We can all agree that developing strong Youth and Junior Ultimate Programs is a vital part of that strategy and to the growth of OCUA.
In that effect, OCUA is pleased to announce that Nevan Sullivan, our current part time Program Officer, will be promoted to a full time position starting this week. The extra time gained in his position will be focused solely on developing strong leagues and opportunities for kids in the Ottawa region. This includes (but is not limited to) recreational and competitive youth/junior programs, high school and middle school introduction to Ultimate, bigger presence in festivals around the city, and stronger support to parents and teachers.
By taking this stand, OCUA desires to become a leader when it comes to giving kids the opportunity to play and learn Ultimate, in a safe and fun environment.
Please join us in our effort to become leaders in the Youth and Junior divisions. Let us know how we can improve this side of our services by communicating your ideas to Nevan at email@example.com.
