OCUA Youth and Juniors Programs

We can't do this without you! OCUA needs volunteers to coach our youth programs. We will provide you with training, curriculum and a great group of kids ready to play! If you are a a parent with some ultimate background and want to contribute to your child's ultimate experience, consider coaching one of our youth teams this year. Please contact

Summer Youth Ultimate 2010

When:
Youth League: Monday 6:30pm - 8:00 pm(May 24 - August 16)
Junior League: Monday 6:30 - 8:00 pm (May 24 - August 16)
Junior Competitive (Ottawa Juniors aka OJ): Practice nights to be determined. Tryout dates to be announced in March.

Locations:

Youth (9-13) Teams
This year OCUA is pleased to announced 3 geographic locations for Youth Leagues. Please register for only one of the following leagues:
West Monday Youth will play at Ben Franklin Park
Central Monday Youth will play at Lynda Lane
East Monday Youth will play at Portobello Park

Junior (14-18) Teams will be scheduled in league games and will play at Lynda Lane.

Junior Competitive (OJ) practice location to be determined.

League Notes:

Youth League
• This league is designed for youth aged 9-13.
• Teams will be balanced according to age and skill level. When possible OCUA will place pairs of players on the same team. You have the option to indicate the name of one player you wish to paired with on the same team. Note that players must request each other for player pairings to be considered.
• New this year: End of Season Festival
• Coaches will be provided for all teams.

Junior League
• This league is designed for youth aged 14-18.
• Teams will compete in weekly games followed by one-day playoffs.
• Teams will be balanced according to age and skill level. When possible OCUA will place pairs of players on the same team. You have the option to indicate the name of one player you wish to paired with on the same team. Note that players must request each other for player pairings to be considered.
• Coaches will be provided for all teams.

Junior Competitive Ultimate (OJ)
• This team is a travelling competitive team with the goal of attending and placing at the Canadian National Championships.
• Players must be selected after a series of tryouts in order to be placed on the team roster.
• Any player wishing to try out for the Ottawa Junior Competitive Team must complete a registration form and pay league fees. If you do not make the Ottawa Junior Team, your fees may be applied to play in the Junior League or may be refunded at your request.

Youth - $157.50 (150.00 + GST)
Junior Rec- $157.50 (150.00 + GST)
OJ and O2 - $157.50 (150.00 + GST)

Online Registrations received between March 23rd and April 30th, 2010, (fees MUST be received by April 30th 2010)
Youth - $162.00 (150.00 + 3% + GST)
Junior Rec- $162.00 (150.00 + 3% + GST)
OJ and O2 - $162.00 (150.00 + 3% + GST)

Online Registrations received after April 30th, 2010
Youth - $169.00 (150.00 + 3% + % GST + % HST)
Junior Rec- $169.00 (150.00 + 3% + % GST + % HST)
OJ and O2 - $169.00 (150.00 + 3% + % GST + % HST)

Refunds less a $25 administration fee are provided up to 3 weeks before the league begins.
