Dominique Rioux's Biography

Dominique brings a unique perspective to our team with her experience growing up and playing Ultimate in Ottawa. She joined her first team in 2005 at Hillcrest High School and proceeded to play on the Ottawa Junior team in 2006, 2007, and 2009. Dom went to Carleton University where she completed a BA in Environmental Studies and played on the Ravens Ultimate Women’s team. She also has training in photography, graphic design, and social media marketing. Dom has been playing on Stella for 6 years, where this summer she is taking on a coaching role. She has represented Canada at four World Championships.

In the summer Dom has played and subbed several Monday and Wednesday league teams, and also coaches the Junior Competitive Development Program. In the winter she claims to be playing “not for the stats” in Parity League, and plays 4x4 with the James Street Bulldogs.
