2017 CUC

The Ottawa Local Organizing Committee needs you to help bring CUC 2017 to life!

An event like the Canadian Ultimate Championships simply can’t happen without volunteers. CUC 2017 needs volunteers to help with shuttles/parking, scorekeeping, field services and much more both leading up to, and during the tournament. You can help out, have fun, and maybe even pick up some pointers while watching the best ultimate you’ll see all year. Thank you for your interest in helping us host a fantastic tournament this summer. We need your help in running this exciting event!
We need volunteers to work in a variety of areas:

  • Site set-up and take-down
  • Score keeping
  • Field services (water, field food, etc)
  • Shuttles and parking
  • Floaters and more!

Why Volunteer?
  • To make new friends
  • To support the sport that you love
  • To build personal and professional contacts
  • To increase personal satisfaction
  • To add experience to your resume
  • To feel needed and appreciated
  • To share your skills with others
  • To have fun!
  • If you are part of the OCUA Competitive Alliance, this will count towards your hours

If you have any questions, please contact Julie Donaldson, Volunteer Manager at volunteerottawa@canadianultimate.com

About CUC 2017
CUC 2017 will be taking place primarily at UPI, with adult finals and ceremonial activities taking place at Carleton University. The junior portion of the tournament takes place Sunday, August 13 to Wednesday, August 16, with the adult portion running from Thursday, August 17 to Sunday, August 20, inclusive.

The 2017 event is extra exciting because it’s a qualifying year for the WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC). You simply won’t see better Canadian ultimate than the country’s top teams, competing on Canada’s best ultimate fields to represent Canada at WUCC. This year, CUC is also taking place in the midst of the Canada 150 celebrations in the nation’s capital. Don’t miss out!!
