Info for New Players

Ultimate is a high-energy sport enjoyed by people of all ages and disc-skills who don't mind a little running and who are looking to have a lot of fun. The game is non-contact, but that doesn't mean it isn't an incredible work-out!

Start playing today - and maybe someday, you'll be playing in front of as many people as these guys!

How to Play

The easiest way to learn Ultimate is to start playing, but before you hit the field, read up a little bit on How To Play Ultimate, or watch this video series.

Where we Play

OCUA uses fields all across the city of Ottawa from our very own Ultimate Park in Manotick to fields in Kanata or even Orleans. Here's where you can find more information on where we play.

Step 1: Get an OCUA Account

If you plan to play in an OCUA league, or wish to post to the forums, you will need to create an OCUA account. Here's how to do it.

Step 2: Find a Team

The majority of OCUA summer and fall league play is made up of established teams. At any given time, there are several teams looking for committed or occasional players. To look for teams that are searching for full time players or spares check the Teams Looking For Players forum. Alternately, you can create a post yourself in the Players Looking For Teams forum. Winter leagues have spaces available for individuals.

OCUA also offers Introduction Leagues and Clinics for beginners and intermediate players.
