Youth & Junior Coaches and Convenors

Convenors are the head coach to all Youth and Junior Leagues, they are a resource for parents and coaches, and help OCUA manage the next generation of Ultimate players! To contact Youth and Junior convenors, you can email them here: convenors@ocua.ca.

OCUA is a non-profit organization that relies on the support of volunteers, which means we need people like YOU to help us out! Do you have experience playing or coaching Ultimate and want to apply to be a convenor? Email us at volunteer@ocua.ca

CONVENORS/COACHES BIO SEASON & LEAGUE

Terri & Halden Johnson

Terri introduced Halden to Ultimate in the summer of 1999. His reluctance was quickly erased and they played several years of rec league. Just as they thought their Ultimate days were behind them, their son joined the youth program in 2011, and Halden was "voluntold" to coach by Karlis Bouse. Now they spend several nights a week field-side with their twins playing in Junior and their oldest playing and touring in the Junior Competitive Program. Whether it's coaching rec or supporting the junior comp players, Terri and Halden spend more time with Ultimate now than when they were actively playing.
