Wednesday Sort-Of Hat League 2020-2021

We are pleased to once again offer the popular Wednesday Sort-Of Hat League, although this year it is actually a hat league, but we're keeping the name. This league fills up fast and teams will be made by November 1st, so don't delay!

Session 1: November 4th, 2020 - January 6th, 2021
Session 2: January 13th, 2021 - March 3rd, 2021
Session 3: March 10th, 2021 - April 28th, 2021

This league will not run on the following dates: 
December 23rd, December 30th

  • Membership: *REMINDER* all players will need an up-to-date OCUA Annual Membership to register or play in any league.
  • Rules: 6v6 or 5v5
  • Ratio: 4:2 or 3:2
  • Roster Size: min 8 / max 12 per team
  • Time: Games are scheduled between 6:15pm and 11:00pm
  • Game Length: 65 minutes (or possibly longer depending on registration)
  • Format: 6 week round robin + 2 weeks of playoffs
  • Divisions: Two divisions of 4 teams
  • Location: Games will be at the Ben Franklin Dome.
  • Reshuffle & Trades: Teams will be reshuffled between sessions. At the coordinator's discretion, players may be traded to maintain parity.
  • Pairing: multiple pairing requests (up to 6) will be allowed as long as teams can be balanced.
  • Discount: Get 10% off by signing up for all 3 sessions!

Please note some of the new COVID safety measures:

  • OCUA will continue to monitor the covid-19 situation, adapt to evolving health guidelines, and cancel leagues if needed. Member safety is of the utmost concern.

  • In addition to the provincial and municipal safety rules we follow, winter indoor leagues will include the following COVID guidelines in place:
  • the OCUA Safety Protocols
  • controlled entry and exit flow in the domes
  • enhanced dome cleaning procedures
  • mandatory masks worn entering and exiting the dome (off during play)
  • buffer times between divisions and outside rental groups
  • All designed to provide safe and fun play over the entire winter indoor season.
  • Detailed dome protocols with instructions will be shared prior to the start of your league.

Refund Policy

Cash refunds will be available to those that request the refund 2 weeks prior to the start date of the session ($25 admin fee applies). From this deadline until the half way point of the session, prorated league credit refunds will be provided once a replacement player from the waitlist has paid for the spot. No refunds will be provided during the second half of any session.

* In the event OCUA must cancel leagues indefinitely. A prorated refund for the games missed will be issued back to the member via the form of payment.
