I've played a couple of times on Parliament lawn, and I'm pretty sure it's open to the public. great grass, central location. Does that work? Does anyone know if we aren't allowed to play there?
The problem with using p-hill for games is that the light and sound show thing plays on, I believe, a nightly basis. Speakers are set up on both lawns and basically take 1/3+ of the each field.
If you can find a schedule for the show, there may be a night or two open, but I'm not too sure.
I played some organized pickup most weeks last summer on the hill and the only time we had problems with equipment in our way was around Canada Day. Otherwise, good grass, we had the full lawn (no speaker issues that I remember), and no problems from security or anyone else.

Few problems last summer
