2024 Junior Open Tryouts (Ignite, Scorch, Blaze, Fuel)
We invite any and all junior-aged open players interested in competitive Ultimate to tryout for OJCUP for the 2024 season. $65 pays for tryouts. Please register by Feb 23rd, to allow coaches adequate time to assign players to tryout fields.
This year we are changing how the tryouts for our Open Teams are structured. The first two tryouts will be open to everyone who registers. There will be two time slots for each of the first two open tryouts. Coaches from multiple teams will be available to assess players on each of the 4 tryouts fields. Players will be notified before each tryout which time slot they are to attend. Attendance at both the first tryouts is highly recommended.
- Tryout #1: Saturday, March 2nd, 11:00am - 1:00pm or 1:00pm - 3:00pm (players will be notified which time slot to attend), Gloucester Superdome
- Tryout #2: Tuesday, March 19th, 6:00pm - 7:30pm or 7:30pm - 9:00pm (players will be notified which time slot to attend), Gloucester Superdome
- After the second tryout, each of the four open teams will hold invitational tryouts. Players who are being considered for each team will be invited to attend invitational tryouts.
Invitational Tryouts
- Ignite Tryout: Wednesday, March 20th, 6:00pm-8:00pm, Ben Franklin Dome (by invitation)
- Scorch Tryout: Saturday, March 23rd, 7:00pm-9:00pm, Algonquin Dome (by invitation)
- Blaze Tryout: Monday, March 25th, 7:00pm-9:00pm, Gloucester Superdome (by invitation)
- Fuel Tryout: Wednesday, March 27th, 7:00pm-9:00pm, Gloucester Superdome (by invitation)
- Players who attend invitational tryouts will be notified within 24 hours of the tryout whether they are being offered a spot on the team. Player's who aren't offered a spot on the team may be invited to the invitational tryout for the next team so you should be prepared to attend more than one.
